like strangers sewn by thread,

like pariahs finding each other in hell, like family in friends,

a hug with the power to destroy vortex’s of hurt,

a smile with one to make the places cease to exist at all,

except the one where happiness unfurls,

they say words cut like knives,

but yours grow roses within the demons at night,

hearts break, but mine revolves,

with different places for all of y’all,

wholeness was an abstract concept before you came along

the stars at night don’t compare to your light,

they seem null and void when i have you guys,

swirling afar into galaxies of dark,

I know I’ll be okay because you’ll light it all up,

with you life seems doable and unlike a tedious chore,

the world needs people like you, so fierce and strong,

your existence is required to bring hope for us all,

your kindness and compassion exudes a warmth,

like a glove never forgone,

my path strewn with storms,

but your shoulder is always there for me to cry on,

you're my home in this misconstrued world,

my place of refuge when all else is perturbed,

our roads met, maybe it was fate,

maybe destinies baby came into play,

maybe there was a set in stone date,

maybe god was doing cocaine,

maybe some supernatural phenomenon took place

and collectively decided you couldn’t be replaced.
